Please come by our Bar Harbor location on Saturday, July 20th at 7PM to meet Stephen Russell Payne author of "Cliff Walking" and "Life on a Cliff." "Cliff Walking" is an intense and beautifully wrought love story of a struggling California addict, her teenage son, and a famous seascape artist from the coast of Maine, and "Life on a Cliff," is it's sequel. He donates a portion of proceeds from his books to organizations working to end domestic violence. When he is on his book tours, Payne supports local groups working to end domestic violence and for his summer 2019 tour he has paired with Through These Doors, a domestic violence resource center and advocacy group based in Portland, Maine. Stop by to get some signed copies of these stunning books, and support a local nonprofit!

In addition to "Cliff Walking" and "Life on a Cliff, Payne has published, "Riding My Guitar – The Rick Norcross Story," the fascinating biography of one of Vermont’s most iconic musicians, as well as "Ties That Bind Us," a deeply moving collection of Vermont short stories.
