Please join us at the Jesup Memorial Library on Thursday, September 19th at 7PM to listen to Randi Minetor talk about her fascinating book "Death in Acadia." Acadia National Park is one of the most visited national parks in the United States with hiking, climbing, snowshoeing, back-country skiing, and ice-climbing among the activities pursued there; as well as the less extreme sight seeing along the Park Road and Atlantic coast. "Death in Acadia" gathers the stories of fatalities that have occurred in the park, from falls to exposure to cardiac arrest–even getting swept out to sea–and presents dozens of misadventures. This is sure to be a fantastic event, so make sure you stop by and get a signed copy!
Randi Minetor has written more than thirty books, including "Historic Glacier National Park," "Death in Glacier National Park," and "Death in Zion National Park." She lives in Rochester, New York.
