Please join us on Tuesday, July 16th at 6:30PM at the Camden Public Library for a theatrically presented history of the Bantry Bay Gigs of International Atlantic Challenge fame with English poet, writer and historian Mick Delap and Apprenticeshop founder Lance Lee. Mick will begin the evening with a dramatization of the history of the Bantry Bay Gigs and the parts will be read by local actors who have a great interest in the story and theater. A duo from will be providing Irish music on authentic instruments. Then Lance Lee will describe the modern history of the gig after it was rediscovered in 1944. Following his presentation, he will invite anyone interested in the audience to come around the model of the gig, and have a question and answer session. Mick Delap will also be reading from his book of poems, "Opening Time," which will be available for purchase.
