Submitted by Marion Fearing on Wed, 06/19/2019 - 7:11pm

Please come by our Portland location on Saturday, July 6th at 11AM to meet poet Deborah Brown, who will be signing copies of her exquisite volume of poetry entitled "The Human Half." It is a glimmering collection of poems that find solace in beauty, mythology, and the stars while enduring familial struggles and loss. Poetry lovers will find this an excellent addition to their collection.

Deborah Brown's first book, "Walking the Dog's Shadow", won the A. J. Poulin Jr. Award from BOA Editions and a New Hampshire Literary Award. With Maxine Kumin and Annie Finch, she edited "Lofty Dogmas: Poets on Poetics". With Richard Jackson and Susan Thomas, she translated the poems in "Last Voyage: Selected Poems of Giovanni Pascoli". She lives in Warner, NH.
