Eleanor Oliphant is not fine. Her favorite store is the supermarket and her only friend is her houseplant, but that is all about to change. This is a book that is equal parts sad and happy, and you end up just adoring the quirky, unconventional Eleanor. It remineded me a lot of the movie The Apartment. A quick, lovely read for anyone!

This is an absolutely stunning and magical adventure inspired by the mythologies and fairy tales of the Middle East. It is intricate, lush, and has a badass female protagonist. It is also unputdownable. Seriously, I tried but ended up reading through the night. For those of us who love our fantasy novels blended with history, fairy tales, and politcal intrigue. Then, it's follow up The Kingdom of Copper is even better. You'll want to read it straight away since The City of Brass ends on one heck of a cliffhanger.

Listen, I could write a whole book on why you should read these books. But I don't have that much space. So: if you like science fiction, fantasy, or excellent storytelling read these books. Stop what you're doing and read them! They are engrossing, beautiful, and full of twists and turns. Also, all three books won the Hugo Award consecutively, which has never happened before.

These spellbinding books are: funny, clever, fast-paced, magical, historical, scientific, a tad violent, and very, very, very British. It's like if Neil Gaimen wrote Law & Order. Midnight Riot is the first, and it's followed by 6 more. These books are a must read for readers who adore London, police procedurals, and a good Harry Potter joke. Be prepared to fall in love with Peter Grant & co. You won't be able to put these books down.

A go-to for Harry Potter fans! Snarky Callum Hunt is forced into a world of elemental magic and a prophecy reminiscent of a roiling, encroaching storm fron. Look forward to a culturally diverse cast and a disabled protagonist who doesn't fall victim to tired stereotypes!
