Information We do Not Collect

When you visit our site, we do not collect your name, email address or any other personal information unless you provide it to us. We do not follow your browsing path outside of shermans.com.

Information We do Collect

At checkout, we ask you to fill out and submit an online form where we ask for your name, address, email, credit card and other information needed to complete your order. You may choose to create an account which will save your name and address information (but does NOT save your credit card information) to make future visits and checkouts speedier. You may also choose to checkout without creating an account in which case your name and address information are not retained online.

We do Not Share Your Information with Others

Shermans does not share, sell, or trade your name, postal address, credit card, or email address information with any other companies. For privacy purposes, all information relating to our customers is stored on a highly secure computer that is not accessible via the internet.

Cookies – What They Are and How We Use Them

A cookie is a small file stored on your computer by a Web site to give you a unique ID. Cookies help make it easier for you to use our site, and they help provide you with the information you need, when and where you need it.

A cookie generated by our site contains no information about you. It contains only a numeric ID that, for example, allows you to retrieve your Shopping Cart. In this example, the cookie lets you continue shopping where you left off with your last visit, without losing any of the items in your cart.

How We Use email

After you place an order on our site, you will receive an email confirmation. When your items ship, or if there are any problems with your order, you will receive another email.

Recipients of our Electronic Gift Certificates receive an email notifying them of the gift and giving them the information they need to redeem the certificate.

Unless you tell us not to, we may occasionally use email to notify you of new products, special sales, or events of interest happening in the Great State of Maine. If you ever wish to be removed from this service, just let us know and we will honor your request.

We also use email as a means of receiving feedback from our customers, and we encourage you to email us with your questions or comments. We read every email we receive.

How to Contact Us

See Contact Us to choose from several options for reaching us by email, regular mail, telephone, or fax. We’re always happy to hear from you, answer your questions, and listen to your comments.
